Correction Notice
The flyer sent to each unit on water leaks had an incorrect price for the cost of water listed. The correct cost is as stated below:
“the HOA does not pay $6 gallon for water. The rate for multifamily customers is $5.67 per THOUSAND gallons”.
Many thanks to HRS Homeowner Greg Baker who is also the Manager, Aurora Water Public Relations.
Greg also added the following comments I encourage everyone to conserve and reduce costs. Aurora water has a conservation staffer dedicated to large properties, so I would recommend that you contact the conservation office at 303-739-7351 and ask for Lynne. We can come out and present on leak detection techniques (the most common culprit is toilets - they can be silent and rack up hundreds of gallons in a short time). We're also fairly confident that Aurora will not have to implement watering restrictions this year, thanks to our new Prairie Waters system, as well as fairly full reservoirs.
